About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

A skin's exterior reflects its float value, which describes cosmetic condition. This knife ranges from 0.00 to 0.08 and is available only in Factory New or Minimal Wear.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is an item's classification, separate from its float or exterior. This knife is Covert, with a 0.0085% chance from the Spectrum Case.

How much does ★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth cost?

The live range is $941.57 to $1,759.00. These bounds cover the whole item; individual listings vary by exterior, float and version.

Which cases contain ★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth?

The Spectrum Case and Spectrum 2 Case contain this knife. Neither case receives new drops, but existing cases can still be bought and opened.

Which exteriors and versions does ★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth have?

Factory New and Minimal Wear are the only exteriors. Its float range is 0.00 to 0.08, with standard and StatTrak versions but no Souvenir version.

Is ★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth a good investment?

Its editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, based on retired case drops and professional ownership. Existing cases can still add supply, while the high entry price creates resale risk.

Short Description

★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth is a Covert CS2 knife skin with an orange-gold blade and dark tiger stripes. Its dark gray handles add matching gold-toned insets without competing with the patterned blade. The contrast suits players who want a colorful knife with restrained handle detailing. It comes in Factory New and Minimal Wear, with standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

The ★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth pairs a folding balisong design with Valve's Tiger Tooth finish. Its freely pivoting blade gives the weapon its distinctive fan-like opening motion. Anodized Multicolored styling brings orange-gold color and dark striping to the blade. A slim silver cutting edge outlines the lower curve and pointed tip. The handles balance the bright blade with dark gray surfaces and orange-gold inset panels. This combination suits loadouts built around warm metallic colors or dark surfaces with bright accents. Buyers can choose a standard copy or a StatTrak version without changing the core finish. For a specific purchase, the exterior, exact float and listing images help distinguish individual copies.

History and Origin

Valve released this finish for the Butterfly Knife on March 15, 2017. It arrived in the Spectrum Case through the "Spectrum Case Skins" update. The design is Valve's own work, rather than a community-created submission. The Spectrum 2 Case is also a source of this knife finish. On December 17, 2025, Valve ended the rare drop pool. Neither source case receives new drops, although existing cases can still be bought and opened. The retirement therefore affects new case supply without making the knife unobtainable. Today, buyers can also acquire an existing copy through the Steam Community Market or player-to-player trades.

Finish Style

Tiger Tooth uses Anodized Multicolored styling, combining orange anodizing with hand-etched tiger markings. The curved blade appears orange-gold, crossed by irregular dark stripes. A narrow silver edge follows its lower curve to the pointed tip. The stripes make the blade the busiest part of the design, interrupting its warm metallic color. The paired handle halves are dark gray, each carrying a long orange-gold inset. Circular cutouts and visible silver pivot screws add mechanical detail to the handles. Short diagonal grooves sit near the pivots, while thin silver lines trace the lower handle edges. Together, the relatively clean handles frame the patterned blade and keep its tiger motif visually prominent.

Float Value

The ★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth has a float range of 0.00 to 0.08. Its only exteriors are Factory New and Minimal Wear. Standard and StatTrak versions are available, but there is no Souvenir version, with version choice separate from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth carries the Covert rarity grade. Its chance from the Spectrum Case is 0.0085%, an opening probability rather than a measure of exterior quality. Professional players who own the skin include m0NESY, zont1x and DANK1NG.

Why it’s Popular:

• Orange-gold blade with contrasting dark tiger stripes

• Clean dark handles balance the detailed blade

• Butterfly construction with a freely pivoting blade

• Factory New, Minimal Wear and StatTrak options

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Butterfly Knife | Tiger Tooth is $941.57 to $1,759.00. This is a high-priced knife, so careful listing comparisons matter before committing to a purchase. Factory New and Minimal Wear listings should be compared with standard and StatTrak versions kept separate. The exact float and listing images help buyers assess the particular copy rather than relying on its exterior label alone. The displayed range covers the entire item, not fixed endpoints assigned to specific exteriors or versions.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Spectrum Case or Spectrum 2 Case for a chance at this knife. The chance of receiving this specific knife from the Spectrum Case is 0.0085%, so opening is not a certain acquisition route. Both cases have stopped dropping, but existing cases remain available to buy and open.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market offers a route to buy an existing copy rather than receive a random case result. Buyers should compare the listed exterior, exact float, StatTrak status and available images before choosing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades offer another way to exchange owned items for this knife. The offered copy's exterior, float and StatTrak status should be verified, with both sides of the trade assessed against relevant listings.

Trading and Investment Considerations

New source cases no longer drop, but openings of existing cases can still increase the number of knives in circulation. Professional ownership is a point of interest, not evidence that any particular listing will sell quickly. Equivalent exteriors and versions deserve careful comparison before buying to sell or trade, since resale speed and future price direction remain uncertain.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Both source cases have stopped receiving new drops

• Ownership by professional players

• Distinctive orange-gold blade with dark tiger stripes

• Factory New and StatTrak options

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired case drops and professional ownership. Its high purchase price makes it a considered hold rather than a casual short-term trade. Existing cases can still produce more copies, and resale prices may fall, so the supply situation does not promise returns.
