It’s official! Now every major game franchize is creating its own TV series. The Witcher, Final Fantasy XIV, and Cuphead are just a few recent examples of TV shows that are currently in production. A news release from Games Workshop and Big Light Productions (The Man in the High Castle) states that Warhammer 40K is joining the club. Fan beloved universe will soon get a live-action TV series.

The announcement states that the new series will be called Eisenhorn which will follow the Inquisitor Eisenhorn, who was the main character in a 2001s book trilogy – Xenos, Malieus, and Hereticus. The story is set in the world of Warhammer 40K and blends science fiction and magic themes in a world where the known universe is at war.

The team working on a show is a serious one. Dan Abnett, the author of the original book trilogy, will also be writing a script for the new show. Add in The Man in the High Castle’s showrunners Frank Spotnitz and Emily Feller as executive producers and it’s enough to get the fans excited.

Currently, the new live-action TV series has no release date or information on where it will be aired, but we hope to get some enlightenment soon. Additionally, we should clarify that the new show shouldn’t be confused with another Warhammer 40K series called Angels of Death. It is a separate animated project.
