If you’re into sci-fi strategy, games you might already know about Surviving Mars. It’s a sci-fi settlement building simulator that was developed by Haemimont Games and published by Paradox Interactive. The game was originally released in 2018 and sold over 5 million copies across multiple platforms to this day. And now, a few years after its launch, Surviving Mars is getting a new and free DLC called The Tourism Update!

According to the announcement, the new update will allow players to transform their space base into a point of interest for interstellar tourists. Players will be able to build various new different buildings and tourist attractions including hotels, Low-G wells, and other fun stuff. Upon arrival, tourists will be able to rate their stay on Mars and provide you with additional funds to further upgrade your colony.

It’s also worth mentioning that this new update won’t be the last. Paradox said that it’s just the beginning, so we can expect even more updates like this in the future. However, there’s a catch. The new content is being developed by another studio – Abstraction Games, who previously worked in a support capacity on different projects like Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, ARK: Survival Evolved, and more.

In any case, it’s nice to see that the game is alive and well, and the publisher is dedicated to keeping it fresh years after its initial launch. If you never tried Surviving Mars, we recommend you to check out our offers for the game.
