Halo: Reach launch on PC and Xbox One is quickly approaching. The date is set for December 3rd which is only a week from now, so Microsoft decided to hype up the community even more. A new post on Microsoft’s blog revealed that Halo: Reach will have 6.2 million maps available to download on its launch day.

The figure is massive and will offer hours upon hours of joy for everyone who wants to play Halo: Reach via multiplayer. This insane number includes original game maps and all the maps made by the Halo community over the years. The list will include all the maps made by players for Halo 3, Halo: Reach and Halo 4.

However, this figure is only the beginning since Halo: Reach will also include a new map editor. The blog also notes that the map editor, called Forge, won’t launch on PC until 2020. Well, at least for the time being, PC players will have to settle with 6+ million maps… While the Xbox One players can start ‘Forging’ the numbers higher right from the get-go.

As for other news about the inevitable PC release for Halo: The Master Chief Collection – there are plenty of bits for you to dig through. The team making the port laid out all the changes and tweaks in a lengthy post. If you’re interested, be sure to read it here.
