14 Days of Fortnite, a holiday-themed event had a rough run. Epic Games admitted that the event wasn’t communicated properly, sharing the false end date with the community.

At first, the developers of Fortnite decided to offer an in-game item called Equalizer Glider as an apology and compensation but changed their minds shortly after. Afterwards, the studio has announced that it will be bringing back 14 Days of Fortnite event for a limited time, so players could complete the given challenges.

Blog post reads:

“We communicated an incorrect end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event and did not feel the Equalizer Glider compensation was the right approach,” Epic wrote on its website. “After further discussion, we’ve decided to bring back this event early next week through January 15 at 3 AM ET (08:00 UTC). We’ll also be enabling some of the most popular Limited Time Modes that were available during the event.

Players who were unable to complete those Challenges will be able to earn all of the rewards they may have initially missed out on. All Challenges will be available to complete for the entire duration of the event. Unfortunately, progress on partially completed challenges has to be reset.

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding!”

That’s awesome news for everyone playing the game because 14 Days of Fortnite brings new challenges and rewards every day. Most of the players who’ve missed on the event will get an additional week to grab their in-game goodies and achievements.
