“Do you hear that? Love beckons. And when love beckons, who among us can say no?” —Lord Shaxx.

Destiny 2 players rejoice! An awesome Valentine’s Day celebration called Crimson Days returns to your favorite game on February 12th.  Crimson Days allows you to earn various cool cosmetic rewards and participate in special holiday event activities.

The main mode for Crimson Days is titled Crimson Doubles. It’s the 2 vs. 2 Crucible (Destiny 2 PvP mode) with a unique round-based twist, similar to the already existing Clash mode, which will test your co-op skills. In Crimson Doubles, players have to stay in close proximity in order to recharge their character abilities at a much faster rate. Furthermore, if you’ll stray too far from your partner, enemy players will be given a special waypoint to your location which makes you an easy target.

Additionally to PvP, Lord Shaxx will offer Destiny 2 players some PvE bounties as well, however, to earn them you’ll still have to complete the challenges with your Crimson Doubles partner. These bounties also include a weekly one that involves completing the Nightfall raid.

All the in-game activities mentioned above will earn you a special Crimson Days currency called Confectionery Hearts. Weekly bounties will give you 75 CH while the daily ones will give you 15 CH. These can be spent on various cool items.

It’s worth noting that most of the Crimson Days rewards remain the same as they were last year. However, there are also some new additions you can earn. The main one is a special new bow called ‘The Vow’ featuring 650 power rating for players who own the Forsaken expansion.

Bungie has also detailed other Crimson Days event rewards and their Confectionery Hearts prices:

-Tirastrella Legendary Ghost Shell – 25

-Undeterred Exotic Sparrow – 50

-The Vow Legendary Bow – 100

-Wardcliff Coil Ornament – 125

-Flaunting Dance Legendary Emote – 150

-Warmhearted Gift Package – 15

Players who have some leftover currency from last year will be able to purchase a Warmheart Gift Package that will offer you a chance to receive some additional Enhancement Cores, weapons, mods, gear, and resources.

As with all holiday events, players will also be able to complete Triumph challenges. While Bungie is yet to reveal them, we already know the prize for players who’ll manage complete them all – a cute Sugary Ghost Shell.

All in all – not a bad way to spend a week with your beloved playing Destiny 2. You can read all about the Crimson Days event and its rewards in a Bungie blog post. The event will be accessible across all platforms and conclude on February 19th.
