Like many other gaming events, BlizzCon 2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Back then Blizzard promised to organize a digital event to share all the good work they’ve been doing for the last year. Now we know the date and the name for their new showcase. BlizzConline will run from November 19th until November 20th and will try to “channel the spirit of BlizzCon into the form of an online show”.

While you won’t be able to attend BlizzCon in person and play some of its games spread across the exhibition floor, BlizzConline will still offer a variety of content to all Blizzard fans. According to the news, BlizzConline will host a special Community Showcase which will feature cosplay competitions and exhibitions, art and digital storytelling contests, talent spotlights, and more. You can already sign-up for this online via Blizzard’s website.

In addition, it’s safe to assume that fans of Blizzard games will get some more news on already announced titles such as Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV. It also wouldn’t be a BlizzCon without a new game announcement, so we have our fingers crossed.

In any case, fans overseas won’t lose much. As always, Blizzard plans to host a variety of panels, all of which will be streamed online. Currently, there’s no news about a virtual ticket, so we’re hoping that this time around Blizzard might surprise their fans and share all of the content for free. That would be something, don’t you think?
