Horizon: Zero Dawn is celebrating its birthday with 10 million copies sold

What would be a cool present for the game’s anniversary? Well, another sales record, of course! Horizon: Zero Dawn received such present surpassing ‘well over’ 10 million copies sold for its second anniversary.

Herman Hulst, the managing director of Guerrilla Games, developer studio behind Horizon Zero Dawn revealed this awesome achievement in an article posted on PlayStation Blog.

The idea that we were able to bring Aloy’s journey to so many players is astounding. We’ve been deeply moved by the enormous amount of fan creations you’ve posted online, as well as the heartfelt letters you’ve sent sharing your favorite moments from Aloy’s journey.‘ – the blog post reads.

In addition, the studio’s director also took his time and revealed some details and behind-the-scenes images from the development process of the game. The reveals included some early designs, prototypes, placeholder models, easter eggs, sounds, and much more. Horizon: Zero Dawn was released back in February 2017, and since then earned its place among the best PlayStation 4 titles, collecting multiple awards and praises from critics. The game’s success also allowed Guerrilla Games to expand extensively. The development team is currently working on some other projects which are yet to be unannounced.
