Some Doom fans might agree that Doom Eternal is one of the best if not THE BEST game released this year. And it’s not hard to see why. Doom Eternal had everything in place – awesome gameplay, amazing visuals, and an interesting story. Now, after a few months, we’ll get more of it! Doom Eternal will get a new story DLC called The Ancient Gods: Part 1, which will continue the story of the core game.

The new campaign DLC was announced during QuakeCon 2020 and debuted with an exciting new teaser trailer:

According to Bethesda, the full reveal of the new DLC is scheduled for August 27th, during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event. We hope to see some more of the gameplay, hear some more details about this new story chapter, and hopefully get a release date.

In any case, it’s worth noting that The Ancient Gods might be a series of DLC packs coming to the game in the future. Why else would you add Part 1 top the title if you don’t have any plans to do Part 2, or Part 3? So that’s confirmed as it is confirmed that id Software is working on another multiplayer DLC for the Battle Mode. We hope to learn more about this in the future.

Doom Eternal is currently released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia, however, the developers confirmed that Doom Eternal should be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles as soon as they’re out. We can expect a separate edition of the game including all of the DLC content released prior to that date. Anyway, we’ll keep you posted! For now, check out our deals on Doom Eternal.
