Codemasters Software is a British video game development and publishing studio with its headquarters set in Southam, England. The company was founded in October 1986 by the Darling brothers, Richard and David. Codemasters games are amongst the oldest video game developers in Britain, they have started their business model by creating budget-priced games with the quality of full-priced games, however, their focus soon shifted towards full-priced games as well. Codemasters Games mostly focus on aspects of the racing genre with simulation game series such as Dirt, Grid and F1, however, their Overlord action-adventure game franchise has proven to be a tremendous success throughout the years. It’s a well-worth noting fact that both Darlings brothers have both been appointed as commanders of the Order of the British Empire, for their contribution to the video games industry!
