Paradox Development Studio is a video game development studio that has been focusing on grand-strategy video games since 1995. The company is of Swedish origin, and Paradox games are mostly of historical-nature, they often cover the entire world map, and include aspects of the economy, political agenda, and warfare management. Paradox Development Studio should not be mixed with Paradox Interactive, as of 2012 the two companies divided, leaving Paradox Interactive to focus on the video games publishing side, while Paradox Development Studios continues their development processes. The development company is mostly known for their Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, and Crusader Kings releases. More so, the studio has developed and released Clausewitz game engine which is used on all their games and it’s open for anyone willing to use it. As such, Paradox Games are heavily modded by the gaming community as well!
