All metaphors aside, Obsidian Entertainment has grown significantly, gained immeasurable experience, and now creates games we all want, and need! Obsidian Entertainment is an American video game development company founded by the Black Isle Studio’s employees in June 2003 shortly after the studio was closed. Most of Obsidian Entertainment games are sequels to an already licensed property, however, their most profitable and successful pieces are based on their own intellectual origins. The company is stationed in Irvine, California. Their most notable licensed works include Fallout: New Vegas, and South Park: The Stick of Truth, while their original content that brought the most success on which they managed to capitalize came from Pillars of Eternity video game series. Just recently, November 2018, the Obsidian Entertainment games have been bought by Microsoft and their most recent title to look forward to is called The Outer Worlds.
