We don’t know about you guys, but here at Eneba, we adore arcade games. There’s something about action-oriented fast-paced gameplay that keeps returning to our office gaming station almost every lunch break. While most arcade games require good coordination and fast decision making, there’s also this freeing feeling circling the respective gaming genre. We love being able to play a match or two without a necessity to sink hours into a game to experience it in its full glory.

So, with that in mind, we want to share a list of our favorite arcade games for PC. We’re listing our favorites in no particular order – these are the titles universally beloved by our office colleagues. If you wish to suggest a game – be sure to leave a comment on our social media.

SpeedRunners

We’re kicking off our list of arcade games for PC with an awesome game developed by DoubleDutch Games. SpeedRunners is an indie multiplayer running game where the only objective is to run faster than anyone else playing with you. In order to gain an advantage, you’ll have to use grappling hooks, power-ups, and interactive environments.

SpeedRunners is very simple – like any good arcade game should be – but it has a high skill ceiling which will keep you returning for more. It combines side-scrolling, platforming, and racing to a great effect and is especially fun if you’re playing it with a bunch of friends locally. However, it also features a single-player mode so you can train your SpeedRunning skills against bots or yourself!

Rocket League

Rocket League needs no introduction. It’s an award-winning futuristic game that mixes football and rocket cars in an insane sports competition which will leave any arcade fan in awe. The game features a selection of customizable rocket-powered vehicles chasing a giant ball in order to score a goal. A true visual arcade spectacle that will grant you massive doses of adrenaline, especially during the last few seconds of a close match.

We should also add that recently Rocket League’s developer Psyonix was acquired by Epic Games which promises a bright future for the game. Epic Games plans to invest in the further development of Rocket League which makes it a worthy purchase if you’re looking for a PC arcade game with longevity potential.

Overcooked! 2

The premise of Overcooked! 2 is fairly simple – you have to cook food. However, every chef on the planet can back up our words – life in the kitchen is anything but simple. Overcooked! 2 is a fast-paced food making game where every wrong turn or a bad ingredient will cost you time which is the key difference between successfully completed level or a failure.

The main feature of the game which makes Overcooked! 2 such a fascinating title is its co-op mode. Co-op challenges players to multitask and coordinate their actions in the most absurd kitchens possible. However, be warned – the game will test your friendships like no other game out there. A perfect fit if you’re looking for an arcade game for a whole family.

Broforce

Arcade games were very popular in the previous age of gaming and Broforce perfectly captures the feel of an old school retro arcade title. Broforce is a pixelated side-scrolling run-and-gun platform video game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. In a game, you take control of a hero inspired by 80s action films and fight against waves of enemies.

We’re not gonna lie – Broforce is silly as hell but underneath all the puns there’s a lot of quality content. In the game, you can design your own levels in Level Editor and share them on the internet, take on multiple arcade game modes and invite your friends to play together via Bro-Op and classic Deathmatch modes.

TrackMania Turbo

To conclude our arcade games for PC selection we’ve picked out the king of all arcade racers – TrackMania. The latest game in TrackMania series, TrackMania Turbo, was originally released for PC and consoles in 2016 and just last year reached real arcades as well. If you’ve never heard about TrackMania you should know that it’s a racing game that takes place in over-the-top fantasy tracks and allows players to create and share their own work, too.

TrackMania Turbo features multiple classic arcade and multiplayer game modes, more than 200 racing courses (+ insane amount of player-created tracks) and multiple levels of difficulty. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s the only PC game on our list which supports VR headsets. While not being for everyone, TrackMania Turbo is a fun, over-the-top racing game that will surely keep you busy for a while.

All of these arcade games for PC are available for purchase at Eneba! Be sure to grab yours while we still have some.
