It’s been years since the original Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning release. The game was first released back in 2012 and received a lot of praise form the fans. Originally the game was created as an MMORPG game, but since the studio running the project closed down it was decided to remake the game into a single-player experience. it wasn’t as successful as publishers hoped, so all the plans regarding the possible future of the game were swept away. Until now…

Not so long ago, THQ Nordic announced their plans to revive the cult game with freshly enhanced visuals and called the project Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. The new version of the title was supposed to be released this summer for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. However, the developers decided to push back the new date and now is saying that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be released on September 8th, three weeks later than planned previously. But it won’t be just a bare game remaster – Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will get a new expansion.

During its original run, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning received 2 DLC expansion packs called The Legend of Dead Kel and Teeth of Naros. 8 years later we will get the third chapter of added content called Fatesworn. However, we’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the remastered version of the game until we get the new adventure since Fatesworn’s release date isn’t announced yet.

In any case, we’d like to express our gratitude to THQ Nordic and their neverending efforts to bring some cool classic games back to life with enhanced visuals. The company recently released  SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated and Destroy All Humans! remake.
