Apparently, recent rumors were true and one of the best PlayStation 4 games of this generation is being ported to PC. Kotaku reports that the famous Guerrilla Games title Horizon Zero Dawn is currently being ported for PC and should be released a bit later in 2020. According to the news (or should we say rumors, since it’s not yet official), Horizon Zero Dawn for PC should be released with 4K resolution support and uncapped framerate. The game should come out on Epic Games Store and Steam simultaneously.

However, while the news is still not official, we should take it with a grain of salt. If the report by Kotaku is true, then Horizon Zero Dawn would become the first game partially funded by Sony which would land to PC. Games like Journey (That Game Company) or the trio by Quantic Dreams were all developed by indie studios, so they don’t qualify as a Sony-funded title. However, Guerrilla Games and Horizon Zero Dawn do…

It will be interesting to see whether or not these sources speak the truth. If that’s the case, Sony might be testing the waters and trying to employ the approach similar to the one of Microsoft and their Xbox. Next-generation is near so the change of exclusive-game politics might be the way to stay relevant in a new race. Only time will tell. But for now, we’re just happy that more players across the world will get a chance to experience one of the greatest open-world RPG games over the past couple of years.
