Do you remember the iconic puzzle game called Dr. Mario? Seems like Nintendo remembered it as well and decided to revive the game for mobile platforms. The company has confirmed that it will be releasing Dr. Mario World for Android and iOS devices on July 10th.

Older gamers might remember Dr. Mario mechanics which won’t be changed a whole lot in the mobile version of the game. Players will have to line up similarly colored medicine capsules in order to destroy various viruses. However, Dr. Mario World will have a twist – instead of falling down, capsules will float upwards.

The new game will feature a variety of skills and power-ups which will help players to complete certain stages. In addition, Dr. Mario World will get a bunch of new characters which weren’t present in the original game. Dr. Mario will be joined by Dr. Toad, Dr. Peach, Dr. Yoshi, and Dr. Bowser. Each of the characters will have their own unique special powers.

Dr. Mario World will be monetized in a familiar fashion as other mobile puzzle games. Gameplay will be limited via lives which will refill over time. However, waiting time can be shortened by purchasing premium currency.
