Long awaited Tropico 6 will not be released later this month as was previously announced. Simon Hellwig, the owner of Kalypso Media Group, confirmed that the game will be delayed until the end of March. The new release date is March 29th.

Explaining the reasons behind the decision to postpone the launch of Tropico 6, Simon Helwing in his open letter to the community wrote that the game could be better.

“Over the holidays, I have played Tropico 6 for many hours and really liked what I saw. But, in my humble opinion, it is not enough to like the game – I want to love it! And Tropico 6 is good, but not very good, or outstanding. Yet.

Combining my own opinion and the response that we had from thousands of dedicated beta players around the world, Kalypso has decided to postpone the game release date for another couple of months until March 29, 2019.”

As an apology for the delay, Hellwig also went a step further offering something for the fans who already pre-ordered the game. He confirmed that players who bought the game before January 10th will get the game’s first DLC pack for free. However, it’s not clear what’s it gonna be.
