Since the initial release of The Sims 4 in 2014, EA and Maxis continued to expand upon the fourth installment in the series with numerous The Sims 4 DLCs, each of which explores a different topic and adds a lot of welcomed variety to the overall experience. This does not come as a surprise to the long-term fans of the infamous life simulator series, as the previous Sims games also received tons of thematic updates, items, bundles, and new gameplay features throughout their lifetime. The same is true about the latest game in the franchise – developers hold the fans in constant anticipation as to what The Sims 4 next expansion will bring to the table and this tendency is showing no signs of stopping.

In regards to The Sims 4 expansions of the past, we already have an intricate The Sims 4 DLC list that you should most definitely glance through. However, it’s not surprising that with the passage of time Maxis brought about more content to the 4th Sims edition. Naturally, new expansions, new updates, and a myriad of The Sims 4 stuff packs got announced and released. For this reason, we decided to present our latest The Sims 4 expansion packs list to help you check if you haven’t missed any gems lately, or simply, get you acquainted with what’s on the horizon.

The Sims 4: Get Together (DLC)

Some fans of the game consider Get Together expansion to be the best among The Sims 4 DLCs. While this may be open for discussion, it remains undeniable that The Sims 4: Get Together expansion introduced some truly awesome gameplay features, each of which created unique opportunities to experience The Sims 4 in an all-new way.

Looking at the release order, this was the second of The Sims 4 expansions (with first one being The Sims 4: Get to Work DLC), which launched in 2015 – more than one year after the initial release of the game. Expansion circles around clubs, club establishment, and various club management features. Your sim will be able to visit a new in-game world – a cozy town of Windenburg inspired by the style and architecture of Northern European cities. Here sims will have the chance to meet new friends who share the same interests, engage in new activities like football or darts, and spend time in thematic hangout spots.

The Sims 4: Realm of Magic (DLC)

At first glance, The Sims 4 and its predecessors might create an impression of a somewhat realistic life simulation, even despite the cartoony art style, wacky sense of humor, or even the gibberish language. However, some Sims 4 DLCs, like the Realm of Magic, tosses such expectations out through the window and presents a myriad of playful supernatural elements to the world of sims. First time this was done way back in The Sims 2 with the Apartment Life expansion that introduced witches, and the same trend continued in The Sims 3 with the DLC fittingly titled Supernatural.

The Sims 4: Realm of Magic expansion will easily find its way into the hearts of players who also happen to be the fans of the Harry Potter series. The influence of the infamous book and cinema franchise is mirrored both in the setting, and the clothing trends introduced in this DLC. Another parallel to the Harry Potter series? The expansion also plays with the dynamic between the fairly normal in-game world of Glimmerbrook and the supernatural Magic Realm. The Sims 4: Discover University (DLC)

Discover University is the most recent of The Sims 4 DLCs released so far. The College-themed The Sims 4 expansion launched in November 2019 and was instantly met with praise. This time around the player’s sim was invited to experience the lifestyle of a college student. There are two universities to choose from – the University of Britechester which specializes in humanities and the Foxbury Institute which features study programs like robotics, computer science, and biology.

The future career of your sim heavily depends on personal preferences. Not only will you be able to choose between different study programs and subjects to attend to but also how seriously will you take the entire studying process in the first place. Your sim can either be a bookworm who uses all their free time for studying in the library, or a complete slack-off spending their college days partying, drinking juice pong, or pulling pranks on the rival university. Sounds amusing? Here’s a more in-depth look at the university-themed The Sims 4 expansion.

The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle (DLC)

On June 5th, 2020, fans of the series should finally witness the release of the latest DLC for The Sims 4. Next expansion will explore environmental themes and introduce yet another in-game world called Evergreen Harbor. The lifestyle choices made by the player will have lasting environmental effects. Your sim can play a significant role in creating and maintaining a town of dreams where the entire community lives in harmony with nature. Alternatively, Evergreen Harbor can be neglected, turning the would-be eco-friendly paradise into a heavily polluted dump.

According to the developers, these environmental after-effects are not limited to Evergreen Harbor. State of the environment will be reflected in all the worlds of The Sims 4, including the additional ones introduced with earlier The Sims 4 expansions (except for destination worlds and Strangerville). To prevent the spread of pollution, sims will need to rely on eco-friendly technologies like solar panels, wind turbines, or cover their rooftops with vegetation to create green roofs.
