It’s hard to deny that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds had a wonderful year in 2018. Numerous esports events and the debut on Asian markets are just a tip of the iceberg. While the game’s popularity, in general, declined over the year, PUBG is still one of the major players in the battle-royale genre. 920 million in revenue throughout 2018 proves it.

According to a Tweet by Daniel Ahmad, Senior Analyst at Niko Partners, PUBG Corp earned  920 million dollars. 310 million of that is a gross profit. The tweet also reveals a split across platforms – 790 million has been earned from PC players, 65 million from mobile and 60 million dollars from consoles.

The biggest revenue stream came from Asian markets. It accumulated over 53 percent of the revenue in total. There, PUBG is still incredibly popular, while Fortnite and Apex Legends are struggling to keep PUBG’s pace.
