Good news for all the fans of the Need For Speed franchise. The iconic Need For Speed Hot Pursuit will get a remastered version for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One which is scheduled to be released on November 6th. The game will also come to Nintendo Switch one week later – on November 13th.

For those who didn’t know, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit was released 10 years ago and was praised by fans and critics as one of the best NFS titles in recent memory. Some still play this game to this date, even though the graphics are not its strongest side. EA decided to overhaul the game’s visuals, pack up all of its DLC, and include an all-new cross-platform multiplayer and Autolog.

Here’s a trailer:

From what we gather, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will look way better than it ever did before. According to the information provided, PC players will be able to play the game and scale it up to 4K and play the game with 60FPS. PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X players will also be able to enjoy 4K resolution, however only at 30FPS. On the other hand, there’s always an option to play it on 1080p with 60FPS. The base console version (regular PS4, Xbox One, and docked Nintendo Switch) will run at 1080p resolution featuring 30FPS.

However, the Remastered version doesn’t just add technical improvements. According to the blog post, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered includes all main DLC – the SCPD Rebel Racer Pack, Super Sports Pack, Armed & Dangerous Pack, Lamborghini Untamed Pack, and Porsche Unleashed Pack – delivered at launch, with an extra six hours of gameplay and more than 30 challenges.

“We’ve added brand new achievements, car colors, wraps, reduced hard stops, an updated photo mode and gallery, and multiple quality of life updates, too, to create an even more well-rounded gameplay experience this time around.”

All in all – it seems like something you wouldn’t want to miss. Be sure to keep an eye out on our store – we plan to launch the game’s pre-orders very soon. And while you wait, you can check out our other Need For Speed games.
