It’s been a long wait for the final part of the Total War: Warhammer trilogy but it’s coming to a close. Creative Assembly finally lifted the lid on Total War: Warhammer III and showed off a new cinematic trailer hyping up the fans across the world. According to the company, the game will be released sometime this year.

Check out the trailer:

While we didn’t get any gameplay footage, this cinematic reveal has a lot of details to unpack. From what we gather, Total War: Warhammer III’s campaign will revolve around the forces of Kislev and Cathay. The announcement reveals that the Boyars of icy Kislev are one of the game’s playable factions.

The second playable faction is a new one. While the Dragon Empire of Cathay has long been mentioned in the background of Old World history, players never had a chance to see it in action or play like one. Long-time Warhammer fans will be able to get their first real taste of this fascinating empire in Total War: Warhammer III.

It’s also worth mentioning that the official post over at Warhammer-community site also reveals that players will “be able to command the daemonic armies of Khorne, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, or Nurgle, thanks to the introduction of playable factions dedicated to each of the four Chaos Gods.”

All of this sounds like gibberish to you? In this case, you need some lessons about the Warhammer universe. Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer II games will be a perfect fit for the occasion. If you haven’t played any of these we suggest you check them out with our special discount
