Ubisoft has a long history of teasing its upcoming games in other studio’s titles. The most recent Easter egg was seen in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 game which might reveal that the new Assassin’s Creed might be set in the Viking times.

A poster in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 world shows a soldier holding an Apple of Eden, one of the most famous artefacts featured in numerous Assassin’s Creed games. As seen in the poster titled “Valhalla”, the soldier seems to be wearing a Norse-style helmet hinting the Viking connection. What makes this wild theory more appealing is that the Viking in the poster also wears red and white robes which is very reminiscent of the Brotherhood.

Of course, this is only a speculation and you shouldn’t take our word for granted. While Ubisoft is known for teasing their upcoming games, Vikings aren’t known for their assassination skills and the game about a secret order might not fit the bill. However, we wouldn’t mind a Viking style RPG similar to what we’ve got with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, would we?
