People Can Fly, the developers of the upcoming third-person shooter game Outriders, have shared some sad news. Apparently, the game won’t meet the deadline that was set on February 2nd, and decided to delay the game for a couple of months. People Can Fly shared a post that reschedules Outriders release to April 1st.

However, with some grim news, there’s some glimmer of hope for all of the gamers who can’t stand waiting. Apparently, prior to the official release of the game, we’ll get a free demo which will be released on February 25th. The demo will allow players to test out Outriders classes and will serve some single-player and co-op modes. Moreover, the progress of the demo will carry over to the full game if you’ll decide to pick it up after it launches.

Here’s a full post:

It’s a very consumer-friendly move that is fairly unusual nowadays. However, this shows that People Can Fly are confident about their game (or at least about the first few hours of it) and hope that most players who will try the game will decide to purchase its full version.

If it’s your first time hearing about Outriders, you should know that it’s a game by a studio known for their work on Gears of War: Judgment. Outriders is a new cooperative shooter game that will allow players to form teams of up to 3 players and explore a dark and desperate sci-fi world in search of the source of a mysterious signal.

If this sounds like a game you wish to try, be sure to check out our pre-order prices while you wait for the full release. Outriders will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. It will also have a Google Stadia version that should be released a bit later.
