If you can’t wait any longer and want to try the new Marvel’s Avengers game as soon as possible, we bring some good news. According to a recent report by Square Enix, the game is almost ready for testing and will open its servers for everyone who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 4 at the start of August.

You read that one right. The open beta will start early on PlayStation 4 and will feature additional early access for those who pre-ordered the game on the platform. Players who pre-ordered their copy of the game will begin their test on August 7th while the rest of the PlayStation 4 community will have to wait a week longer – their beta begins on August 14th. PC and Xbox One users will join the rest of the community on August 21st – just a couple of weeks before the full launch of the game.

Marvel’s Avengers is scheduled to be released on September 4th across all platforms – PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. This means that PC and Xbox One players will only get a week-long test while PlayStation fans will be able to generate feedback about the game for much longer. We can only hope that all versions of the game will come out stable and bug-free.

As for the contents of testing, there isn’t much to tell yet. Square Enix said that it will be announcing more information about the game and the testing period during a special presentation which is scheduled for July 29th at 10 AM Pacific Time. Some of the developers already teased players with details – we can hope to get our hands on a portion of campaign content, a few co-op missions, and get an early look into the game’s progression system.
