Throughout the last couple of years, the gaming industry has picked up a new trend. More and more companies are re-releasing their classic consoles. Nintendo released NES Classic, Sony started selling their PlayStation Classic, and Sega announced their plans to revive Sega Genesis Mini in September. Konami is also boarding this hype train with their remake of 1989 TurboGrafx-16.

The TurboGrafx-16 Mini is the recreation of the cult classic in a similar compact fashion.  The console will offer players a chance to feed their nostalgia by playing old, 16-bit console games. Currently, Konami has revealed 7 titles coming with TurboGrafx-16 Mini, but we can expect more to be revealed in the future. Here’s the line-up:

R-Type

New Adventure Island

Ninja Spirit

Ys Book I & II

Dungeon Explorer

Alien Crush

As of this moment, we don’t have a price and a release date for the TurboGrafx-16 Mini. It’s fair to expect to hear more in the upcoming Gamescom which will happen in August.
