This weekend Riot Games revealed their latest champion coming to the League of Legends game. The latest addition to the game’s roster is Samira, The Desert Rose which should fill a Marksman role. However, her kit is somewhat versatile allowing her to be picked in other positions as well.

Her flavor text reads:

Keep the change. Samira is a gifted, ruthless marksman who charges up her style meter as she hunts for the flashiest kill. Because it’s not about the win—it’s about the thrill.

And her kit proves to be very flashy, making her a seemingly tough opponent in one-on-one situations. Samira can deal a lot of damage from afar as well as being close to her opponent. However, these skills are not official yet, so some abilities might be subject to change.

Abilities

Daredevil Impulse (Passive) – Samira builds Style points by hitting attacks or abilities unique from the previous hit and gains a percentage of movement speed per point.

Samira’s attacks in melee range deal additional magic damage, Damage is increased based on the target’s missing health.

Samira’s attacks against enemies affected by immobilizing effects knock up for 0.5 seconds and deal damage over six separate attacks. Samira dashes into range against targets slightly outside her attack range.

Flair (Q) – Samira fires a shot, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit. If this ability is cast towards an enemy in melee range, Samira will instead slash with her sword, dealing physical damage. Either hit can critically strike for 25% bonus damage and if Fair is cast during Wild Rush, Samira will strike all enemies in her path upon completion.

Blade Whirl (W) – Samira slashes around her for 1 second, damaging enemies twice for physical damage each and destroying any enemy missiles that enter the area.

Wild Rush (E) – Samira dashes through an enemy or ally, slashing enemies she passes through and gaining Attack Speed. Killing an enemy champion refreshes this ability’s cooldown.

Inferno Trigger – Ultimate (R) – Samira can only use this ability if her current Style rating is maxed out. Samira unleashes a torrent of shots from her weapons, wildly shooting all enemies surrounding her 10 times over 2 seconds, each shot dealing physical damage and applying lifesteal. Each shot can also critically strike.

Currently, it’s unknown when Samira will be released but it’s safe to assume that her debut might come right after regional finals scheduled for next week. Currently, you can play around with this champion in League of Legends’ Public Beta Environment.
