Currently, Google Stadia is shrouded in secrecy with only a handful of journalists able to check it out firsthand. And what better way to introduce the new streaming service to the masses than the presentation a day before the biggest gaming gathering in Europe?

Yesterday, Google announced that it will host another Stadia Connect presentation on August 19th, just a day before the opening ceremony of the annual Gamescom expo event in Germany. In addition, the Twitter message says that Google is going to have a significant presence at the expo, allowing Gamescom visitors to check out Google Stadia firsthand.

Whatever your stance on the new platform is, it will be interesting to see what steps, and in what direction, Google has taken Stadia in these few months since E3 2019. Back in June, Google unveiled its Stadia launch plans alongside a shortlist of supported games. These include titles such as Baldur’s Gate III and Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. The description of the upcoming stream has an intriguing statement:

“This time around, it’s all about the games! From revealing brand-new titles to going behind-the-scenes with our partners, we can’t wait to show what Stadia has in store for you.”

We personally hope that Google Stadia will unveil at least one truly unique and never before seen AAA game that would be worth our while. The launch of Google Stadia is scheduled for November. You can learn more about the service by reading our previous blog post.
