Apparently, last month Nintendo took a page from Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus playbook and started offering their own free game bundles for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Three Nintendo titles will be available to download starting April 10th to everyone who has an active Switch Online subscription. If you don’t, you can purchase the Nintendo eShop gift card from Eneba store.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels

These days you’d have a hard time finding someone who had never played Super Mario Bros 2. The game’s considered as legendary among many gamers but not all of them know that the game originally came in two different versions. One was designed for the Japanese audience and one for the western market which gutted some of the levels for the first iteration. Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels is a revamped version of the classic Super Smash Bros. with a whole new set of levels which are undeniably tougher than the ones we remember playing. So, if you liked the original Super Mario Bros. 2, this is a great chance to catch a glimpse of what you’ve been missing for all these years.

Punch-Out!!

Punch-Out!! is a series of boxing video games originally released in Japan back in 1983. The games were re-released for multiple times on many different Nintendo consoles and debuted on Nintendo Switch last year. Essentially, in Punch-Out!! the player assumes the role of a boxer and tries to defeat as many opponents as possible in gauntlet-style gameplay. You must time your punches, dodge and block the incoming attacks in order to defeat the opposing boxers who come in various difficulty levels. A true joy to play with Nintendo Switch Joy-cons!

Star Soldier

The last game on the April’s list for Nintendo Switch Online is an intense shoot-em-up game called Star Soldier. Originally released in 1988 the game is considered as one of the hardest genre representatives out there. However, if you’re up for a challenge and looking for something with that forgotten arcade-style gameplay it’s a must-have in your collection.
