Some of you might remember a game from 2016 called Enter the Gungeon. It was a fun roguelike platformer developed by Dodge Roll Games studio. The title was released for PC, consoles and even mobile. So far, it has sold more than three million copies, so naturally, the developers had a bright idea to develop a sequel. And so they did! A few months ago a sequel called Exit the Gungeon was released and you’ve never heard about it, right? Well, this is due to the fact that the game was released exclusively on Apple Arcade.

However, this is about to change since developers decided to ditch the whole Apple Arcade plan and are already laying out plans for PC and console release in 2020. According to the announcement, the game should come out to PC and unspecified consoles “early this year”. We hope that the team behind the game won’t exclude any platform and will release the sequel to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

We should also add that prior to the launch of the sequel Dodge Roll Games plans to release a version of their old game to… arcades. It will be called Enter the Gungeon: House of the Gundead and should introduce “an original two-player light gun arcade game in which players crawl alone or with a fellow Gungeoneer floor by floor blasting your way down through the army of the Gundead”. If you have an arcade cabinet nearby, be sure to keep an eye out for the new machine… If not, be sure to check out our price for the original game!
