For quite some time many gaming fans believed that Death Stranding, an upcoming game developed by Kojima Productions will be released only for PlayStation 4. Seems like it was wrong to assume that. Death Stranding will be released for PC in the early summer of 2020. The news was announced via Kojima Productions Twitter.

However, for now, the approximate release date is all we got for the PC version of Death Stranding. The publisher responsible for the launch, 505 Games, didn’t specify any additional details. This means that we don’t know if the game will be released on Steam, on Epic Games Store or on some other online platform. However, the most recent game published by 505 Games was Control, so we can expect that that Death Stranding might be following the same path and will be sold as a timed exclusive on Epic Games Store.

505 Games CEO, Raffi Galante expressed the excitement regarding Death Stranding’s debut on PC:

“We are extremely excited and honored to be working with the supremely talented team at Kojima Productions and to bring Death Stranding to PC gamers around the world. Death Stranding will take gamers through a completely original experience that will delight PC gamers everywhere.”

One thing is clear though. It will be a long wait for PC gaming fans, but something tells us that it will be worth it. Death Stranding is one of the most anticipated PlayStation 4 titles this year and it will launch on November 8th. Early reviews should start rolling in next weekend as review embargo lifts on Friday – one week prior to the official launch. This indicates that the development team has a lot of trust in the game they made. At least for now, we do too…
